Although Mother Nature appears determined to torment us with a few more wintery blasts, never fear, a real spring is just around the corner.  And, of course, with spring comes the smell of fresh cut grass, the pop of the ball in the mitt, and the sound of the crack of the bat, all signifying the start of youth baseball & softball season in Lake Zurich!!!

To kick off the new season, LZBSA will again be hosting it’s annual OPENING DAY CELEBRATION!!   The events will take place on Saturday, April 30 at Staples Park!

Highlights include:

• a FREE hot dog and drink for all players in uniform

• the popular PITCH, HIT, & RUN contest

• A Radar-timed throwing station
