We're working hard to get spring baseball and softball set up. LZBSA wants to create a great baseball or softball experience for the kids.
Part of that effort entails upgrading and repairing the fields the kids play on. Over the past few years, we’ve done major work on several fields and the surrounding areas. These projects are expensive. LZBSA receives zero tax dollars from government entities. All funds come through registration fees, sponsorships and donations. This covers the operating expenses for the league and any capital improvements to the fields.
Another phase of upgrades is about to begin so we’re holding a fundraiser to help move these projects forward. We want to have nice fields for the kids to play on! Two of the projects we’re looking at now are an upgrade of Chestnut Corners field including new dugouts and fencing and adding batting cages to Staples Park. Of course, all projects are subject to approval by the Village of Lake Zurich.
We are partnering with MVP Sports Academy for our fundraiser. They are graciously hosting and letting the kids use their HitTrax technology for what we hope will be a fun event for the kids and give them some extra hitting practice on a state of the art simulator.

Your help in this event is greatly appreciated. Please encourage the kids to come out and participate. I think they'll enjoy it!
If you have questions, please reach out to your league president.
Thanks again! Play ball!
