The Positive Coaching Alliance mission is to transform the youth sports culture into a Development Zone® where all youth through high school athletes have a positive, character-building experience that results in BETTER ATHLETES, BETTER PEOPLE.

LZBSA aspires to be an outstanding educational-athletic organization that provides a high-quality experience to every athlete. A high-quality experience is one in which every athlete:

  • Is coached using the principles of Positive Coaching
  • Has fun at practices and games
  • Feels like an important part of the team regardless of performance
  • Learns “life lessons” that have value beyond the playing field
  • Learns the skills, tactics and strategies of the game and improves as a player

The Positive Sports Parent focuses on life lessons through sports, leaving concerns about results in competition to coaches and athletes.

The Positive Coach uses the power of positive reinforcement to pursue winning and the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports.

The Positive Athlete strives to improve him or herself, teammates and the sport as a whole.
