Lake Zurich Baseball and Softball Association

The Bear Claw is a friendly and competitive tournament for in-house and post-season All-Star teams. It’s an exciting week of competitive, good-spirited baseball played on great fields!

We are going to make this our best tournament yet! Our fields will be in top shape and we’re getting our entire baseball community involved to make sure that we create a fun and organized event. We are very excited about this year’s Bear Claw and have already started to receive calls from teams interested in participating.

Here are some details about the tournament:

·Boys Ages: 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U

·Dates: July 10^th – 14^th

·Registration prior to June 1^st is $450

·3 game minimum pool play (weather permitting)

·Trophies awarded to 1^st and 2^ndplace teams

·Medals awarded to 3^rd and 4^thplace teams

·MVP awards for every game!

This year we are hosting several age divisions including 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U during the same week – July 10^th – 14^th. Combining them allows us the opportunity to make this a very exciting tournament week for the players and their families with a lot of great baseball and some fun special events, including:

·Home Run Derby

·Hitting Contests

·Pitching Contests

·And more fun activities for players and their families – details to follow!

Combining the dates also helps to avoid conflicts with other local tournaments. Some conflicts will occur but we have tried to keep them to a minimum.
