Umpiring a Baseball / Softball Game - Easy or Not?

Umpiring a baseball or softball game (or any sport for that matter) is a thankless job. You're being yelled at, everybody questions your decisions, people even question your sanity and intelligence.

As coaches, players, or parents, we assumed that calling balls or strikes isn't that hard. Here is a little video that will put things back in perspective.

I couldn't see well enough to play when I was a boy, so they gave me a special job - they made me an umpire.
