It's a fun and rewarding experience!

The Challenger Division, developed in conjunction with Little League International, is a league designed to help mentally and/or physically challenged youth enjoy the full benefits of pulling together as a team and participating in a baseball environment structured to their abilities.
Last year we had 60 players, ranging in age from 4-18, divided into 6 teams that practiced on Sundays in April and played 6 games on Sunday afternoons from mid May through June.

The hallmark of the program is the participation of volunteer "Buddy" players, aged 11 years and older, from our traditional house and travel leagues.

  • A buddy player or players are assigned to each Challenger player and are responsible for playing side by side with the Challenger players, assisting them throughout practices and games.
  • Activities include helping the players play in the field, talking to them in the dugout, helping them hit, helping them get around the bases, and talking to them about the game afterwards.
  • Incredible bonds are formed between Challenger players and their buddies throughout the season, and the entire experience is extremely fun and rewarding for everyone involved.

It is very important to fill out the form and submit it ASAP so that we can get you officially paired with one of our players and can communicate program specifics/schedules to you via your email address.

Thanks very much, in advance, for helping make this program a great success and a tremendous experience for our players.
