The 13U Lake Zurich Cougars White team won the USSSA Experience the Turf Tournament on June 5, 2016. This was the third consecutive tournament the team won over the past month. The previous two tournaments were the Casey Pohl Memorial Tournament and the Mundelein Memorial Day Tournament. Head Coach, John Tauras, stated that “excellent defense, great pitching, and timely hitting were the keys to the team’s success”. Players on the team include: JD Carpenter, Jack Dwyer, Derek Galdoni, Brian Karstens, Justin Kutsor, Brenden Naylor, Sebastian Pighini, Baylor Rowell, Bryan Sanborn, Luke Snider, Patrick Tauras, and Matthew Vollmer.
