Lead by top-notch defense, timely hitting, and some aggressive base running, the Lake Zurich Blue, 8U All-Stars, won first place in both the McHenry and Cary tournaments earlier this month. After dropping their first game in Cary, the team since has a nine game winning streak, outscoring opponents 128-29 over a 9 game span! Pretty amazing if you ask me!
The team, coached by Jeff Mangano, assisted by Phil Dlatt and Chris Piggott, and supported by a number of awesome team parents, consists of: Anthony Mangano, Eddie Dlatt, James Piggott, Matthew Barker, Joey Lococo, Chase Woodson, Tony Zanichelli, Ranadheer Tripuraneni, Aidan Gallus, Anthony LaBrec, Matthew Smith, Connor Burkley, and Justin McKenna.
