Lake Zurich Baseball and Softball Association

Congratulations to the Lake Zurich Minor 9 Blue Crew, who earned 2nd place in the Alex Richardson Memorial Tournament hosted by Grayslake Youth Baseball.  In all 40 teams across five age groups participated.

The pre-game ceremony included athletes names being announced over a PA and ceremonial first pitches thrown out by family members of Alex Richardson.  The tourney is held to honor Alex , who played in GYBA and then was a standout high-school athlete in Grayslake before being killed in a snowmobile accident when he was a high-school junior.
