8u Tyro LZ Blue Brings Home Post Season Trophies
The 2012 8u Tyro LZ Blue team just recently finished a fine post-season run with an overall record of 11-4. We started the tournament season with a tremendous 5-1 record and second place out of 12 teams in the Cary TOS. We were edged out in the championship game by a single run.
We then played in the 7th Annual Brian Krueger Memorial Tournament in Lake in the Hills. This was an 8u kid pitch tournament that had a loaded 16 team field that played kid pitch most or all of their seasons. We were tremendous in pool play as we shutout our opponents 32-0 in our first 3 games. We eventually finished 4th in the medal rounds bowing out to some very experienced 8u kid pitch teams.
Finally we finished a tremendous 3-1 in the McHenry tournament earning the number one seed after pool play. We missed the championship game by a narrow one run loss in the semi-final to the eventual tournament champions.
